It's a huge system to add but it's something I'm in full support of.
Although doing full blown questlines wouldn't be realistic for data reasons as mentioned before, I don't see why we couldn't have alternative methods to gain XP or spells outside of the class system. If a student gets XP for RPing their job and attending class, then the Sentinels should get XP for RPing and apprehending people, the Void Captors should get XP for kidnapping people, the teachers should receive boosted XP rates during their designated class periods, etc. Those are places to start and realistic systems to implement. Those give incentive to actually play the server rather than use it as a VRChat world, lol.
That being said, those are all things we'd have to get custom made, alongside anti-exploit mechanisms, so as good of ideas as those are, it'd take some time to do if it were even considered. I can pitch ideas all day for improvements, at the end of the day I'm not the one doing the coding. I do think it's something extremely beneficial we should try for though.
@@Etlenor to your comment about the MagicRP move, when you originally posted your suggestion I'll agree that it was a good idea. At the time it would've made our server pop up in a gamemode that's higher in the server list, which would make it more accessible to new players, on top of the gamemode having little competition in it. That being said though, that was at the time -- since then, the server that was holding that gamemode up in popularity has been taken down. To my knowledge, MagicRP is a dead gamemode now. Making that move now wouldn't change much. We did consider switching the gamemode to MagicRP but the large server running under it being taken down turned us away from that.
EDIT: Not in the sense we're scared we'd get taken down too, but in the sense that it'd make no difference moving from a gamemode where we're the only server to another gamemode where we're the only server.
